Singer/Songwriter Cassondra Lea

Cassondra Lea has never been shy. She danced and sang her way through her childhood in the southwest suburbs of the Twin Cities until she was 16 years old, when she started performing at a local bar in Chaska, Minnesota. Cassondra Lea began learning to be a performer with players such as Larry Wiegand, Melody May and Norm Steffen. And the audience loved her.

In 2006 Cassondra Lea moved into the Twin Cities and attended McNally Smith College of Music for vocal performance. While in school, she continued to blow audiences away with her unparalleled stage presence and larger-than-life vocal talents; talents that were only getting stronger as she learned jazz, rock, classical, pop and other vocal styles. Even before Cassondra Lea was handed a degree on McNally Smith’s stage, the Artist Quarter’s stage gave her a microphone. It was there that Cassondra Lea began her Tuesday night residency with Cory Wong, Dan Musselman, Kevin Gatonguay, Zach Schmidt and Andy Schuster. In addition to playing at the Artist Quarter on Tuesday nights, Cassondra Lea continued playing various venues throughout the Twin Cities.
Cassondra Lea has shared the stage with Twin Cities’ legends Debbie Duncan, Patty Peterson, Desdemona, Alicia Steele, Mayda Miller, Kevin Washington, Judi Donaghy, Erin Schwab, Lori Dokken, Jeff Bailey, Doctor Mambos Combo, Boogie Wonderland and Viva Brazil.

In 2010 Cassondra Lea auditioned with and was hired as an on-board lead singer for Holland American Cruise Lines. For ten months she sailed through Alaska, Mexico, Canada, Hawaii, Seattle and California. Though seeing these places and meeting so many new and interesting people was an amazing experience… Cassondra Lea knew part of her heart was in the Twin Cities. And so she came back and resumed performing on her home-turf stages and writing original music.

Like many performers, Cassondra Lea teaches private vocal lessons during the day and gigs all over Minnesota at night in clubs, bars and corporate events with her two bands, Soullections and the Urban Myth Band.

Cassondra Lea plans to release her first original album Faces I Meet in January of 2013. For more information, booking and tour dates, visit and look her up on Facebook a
