Alloy Brewing FAQs:
What days can I enjoy beer in your taproom?
We are open Tuesday 4 to 10pm, Wednesday and Thursday from 3 to 10pm, Friday and Saturday noon to 11pm, and Sunday from 12 to 8pm.
Do you have a private event space or can I rent out the taproom?
We don’t have a private space separate from the taproom. But, the entire taproom can be all yours on a Monday. Because brewing beer and sharing it with the world is our priority, we do not host “buy outs” on the days on which we are open to the public. If you are open to hosting a soiree on a Monday, however, you can check out our Events Request page for more information.
You’re checking my ID, what gives?
We require a valid ID for beer service - we check for alcohol service restrictions on the back of your ID as well as your age, rules of the land in which we must abide.
Where can I find what’s on tap?
All of our beers are listed on our beer page. We will keep this updated and current so feel free to plan out your flight options/Growler options. New beers will be announced via social media as they come out. Also, we will always have a good mix of all beer styles, so put down the Google machine and just swing in!
Do you offer non-alcoholic beverages?
We have bottled water, craft soda and Kombucha chilled and ready to go. The lineup of sodas can change frequently, but we will always have plenty of options to choose from.
Do you sell growlers?
Yes! We pre-fill growlers fresh daily, and offer growlers for almost every option on tap. Check out our beer page or stop into the taproom for growler options and current offerings. If you don’t have an Alloy growler yet, just add five dollars to the price of a refill. If you have an empty Alloy growler to exchange, you’ll only need to pay the refill price. Currently, we will not be filling other brewery’s growlers, however if you have a cool one (perhaps from another state) we will add it to our display shelf and swap out for one of our Alloy growlers.
Do you have any games?
Yes! Currently our bag boards are set up, and a giant-sized version of Jenga is ready for you to enjoy on our patio. We also have a mix of board games and cards for everyone to enjoy. There’s nothing like watching grown adults playing Candyland with a few pints!
Can I get a tour of the brewery, and see some shiny tanks up close?
Yes, as long as you are cool! Tours will be given at 12:30 on Sundays - first come, first served. The tour will be led by one of our brewers, so have your brewing questions ready.
Do you have a gluten free beer?
We more than likely will not have a GF beer at Alloy. However, there is a great brewery in Minnesota called Burning Brothers, and they specialize in GF. We’ve added a link to their webpage for additional information. We do have a few beer alternatives including Whistler craft soda and bottled water.
Can I bring my own food or order in?
Yes! Bring in whatever you like to enjoy in our taproom. We also have menus for most delivery options to the brewery on-site. So if the urge to get some tasty pizza with your IPA strikes, you will have options at your fingertips.
Will you have food trucks?
Yes, typically food trucks are scheduled for Fridays and Saturdays. All food truck options are shared on our Taproom/Events page and via Facebook and Twitter.
Do you allow children to visit the taproom? Yes! We have activities and non-alcoholic beverages available for all of our “Future Taproom Trainees”. We want Alloy to be a fun and family-friendly place for all ages, however all guests under 21 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times. If not, they will be given copious amount of sugar and a puppy - you have been warned.
Is Alloy dog friendly?
Yes! If your four legged friend is friendly to others (ie. Guests, other dogs, and beer fairies) they are welcomed on our patio. We have a few members of our staff that have allergies to dogs which is why we can’t have them in the taproom. We do ask that you keep your dog leashed and with you at all times
Do you have live music?
We do not currently have a plan for live music, however if live music and beer is your thing, check out our friends to the north at 10K Brewing. Here is a link to their events page.
Do you have bike racks?
We do have a bike rack out front.
Do you take reservations?
We serve taproom guests on a first-come, first-served basis, and we do not reserve tables. Our goal is to keep the taproom a super casual, all-inclusive environment, and let’s be honest – a sign that reads “RESERVED” is a bit of a buzzkill!
Do you allow large groups/party buses?
Yes we do! For groups over 20, we appreciate a formal heads up. Please reach out to us at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will make sure our staff is ready to accommodate your group. We do not reserve tables for large groups (see above), and we don't offer large group discounts.
Do you host weddings?
Not yet, but if a Monday shindig is preferable to say your vows perhaps you would like to be the first? See above for our event rental information.
What happens if I forgot to close out my tab?
All unpaid, open tabs are closed out at the end of the evening and a 20% gratuity is added. You can pick up your card during public taproom hours.
Do you have a lost and found?
If you think you left something behind, please email us at email@example.com and we can confirm whether we have it or not. Your items can be picked up during normal taproom hours (after 4pm Tuesday - Thursday, after 2pm on Fridays and after 12pm on Saturdays and Sundays).
Where can I park? Will my car get towed if I leave it overnight?
Parking is located in front of the building and overflow is allowed into the adjacent auto mall parking after 5pm. We haven’t had a car towed yet, but we are not responsible for any cars parked overnight. If you need to leave your car, please do so! Be safe and responsible.
I work at a retailer, bar or restaurant that would like to carry your beer. How do I make that happen?
We are working to increase our inventory so that we can distribute in the near future. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will get you on the list for notification once we are ready to distribute.
I’m in a band. Can we play your taproom?
We’re currently not booking live entertainment at this time.
Are you hiring?
When we do have an opening, we will share job openings via our social media accounts, so make sure you’re following us! Also check out our employment page for all openings.
I have an idea or an event. Can I discuss it with the Alloy Team?
If you have an event idea that we feel makes sense for Alloy to host during public hours, we’d love to hear about it! However, almost all special events that we host require a private event contract and can only occur during non-public taproom hours (i.e. on a Monday).
Where can I find what you have on tap?
We have partnered with Untappd to assist with our communication options. All draft options are up to date on our website beer page, Facebook beer page, on our Untappd Brewery page, and in our taproom. We prefer you try the latter, and come visit us.
We have a strong belief that beer is for everyone but we understand that one size does not fit all. We are constantly searching for new recipes that can win over even the toughest of beer skeptics.
